Dear Members,


Please save the date for our upcoming Biennial General Meeting (BGM) and Caucus Sessions,
taking place this June in Niagara-on-the-Lake.


Location: White Oaks Conference Resort & Spa, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Dates: Friday, June 5 – Sunday, June 7, 2026

Friday, June 5
– Young Workers (YW) Caucus – 1:00 p.m.
– Equity Caucus – 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 6
– BGM Program begins Saturday morning

Childcare will be provided for members who require it.

There will also be a variety of educational sessions and workshops available throughout the
weekend. More details on session topics, registration, and accommodations will be shared
soon.


We encourage all members to mark their calendars and plan to join us for an engaging
weekend of learning, discussion, and collective planning.

More information will follow shortly.

Chers/Chères membres,

Veuillez réserver la date pour notre prochaine Assemblée générale biennale (Biennial General
Meeting ou BGM en anglais) et les caucus qui l’accompagnent, qui se tiendront en juin prochain
à Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Lieu: White Oaks Conference Resort and Spa, Niagara-on-the-Lake

– Caucus des jeunes travailleurs – 13 h
– Caucus de l’équité – 15 h
Samedi 6 juin
– Le programme de l’Assemblée commence le matin

Un service de garde sera fourni pour les membres qui en ont besoin.

Il y aura aussi divers ateliers éducatifs tout au long du week-end. Plus de détails sur les thèmes
des ateliers, l’inscription à l’événement et le logement seront communiqués bientôt.

Nous vous encourageons à réserver la date dans vos calendriers et à nous joindre pour un
beau week-end d’apprentissage, de discussion, et de planification pour l’année à venir!

Ethiraju Ramachandar - Treasurer

Ethiraju has been a member of COPE Local 343 for the last 25+ years with an
extensive accounting and financial background. A friend and colleague once
told him that if you want to see change, you need to get involved, and so he did. Ethiraju has been a steward,  a bargaining committee member, and sits on multiple committees at Local 343. Advocating for those who are not able to and helping others and social justice has always been a strong value of his, and he will continue to do that at the board level! Ethiraju believe in a more just world. In his spare time, he love to spend time with his family, his dog Maya, enjoys gardening, talking about politics, and making the best biriyani in town!
