Unit by-laws can be drafted by the individual Unit for their use in governing their Unit. Local 343 has developed a Bargaining Unit By-laws Template for Units to use while drafting their by-laws.
In the absence of Unit by-laws, Local 343’s By-laws take precedent – check out the Resources Section to access the Constitution and By-laws.
When drafting or amending your Unit’s by-laws, please keep in mind that your Unit’s by-laws must not conflict with COPE Local 343’s By-laws or COPE National’s Constitution. Click here to access COPE National’s Constitution.
After by-laws have been drafted or amended, they must be submitted for review and approval by the Local 343 Executive Board.
To submit bylaws for review and approval, please e-mail them to us at office@cope343.com

Ethiraju has been a member of COPE Local 343 for the last 25+ years with an
extensive accounting and financial background. A friend and colleague once
told him that if you want to see change, you need to get involved, and so he did. Ethiraju has been a steward, a bargaining committee member, and sits on multiple committees at Local 343. Advocating for those who are not able to and helping others and social justice has always been a strong value of his, and he will continue to do that at the board level! Ethiraju believe in a more just world. In his spare time, he love to spend time with his family, his dog Maya, enjoys gardening, talking about politics, and making the best biriyani in town!
